Ray Martinez has published opinion editorials in the New York Times, Roll Call and the Baltimore Sun and has authored an academic commentary on improving voter confidence that was published in 2006 by the Election Law Journal.He currently serves as an adjunct professor of public policy at the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs. A native of Alice, Texas, Ray Martinez, 43, received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and his bachelor's degree from Southwestern University. He is married to Beth Stanley Martinez, a clinical social worker, and they are the parents of two children, Sofia and Lorenzo. They reside in Austin, Texas.
